I have a strange addiction to planners. Or maybe it’s not so strange? Maybe it’s just incredibly useless.

I love to buy planners, start filling them out with wild enthusiasm, and then abandon them to a dedicated “planner graveyard” shelf for three years. I don’t even throw them away! I just keep buying more, hoping this one will be the magic key to organizing my life.

The truth is, I’m an unapologetic brain-dumper. I’ll buy super-cheap notebooks just to write the exact same to-do list over and over and over again. I plan meals, chores, budgets, daily schedules—making glorious, elaborate blueprints for a “Future Heidi” that Present Heidi will completely ignore two days later. Hell, I will literally write “make list” on a list just so I get that immediate, sweet dopamine hit from crossing it off.

Why do we keep abandoning them? Because most planners on the market feel totally cookie-cutter. They’re built for strict Type A personalities who already have their shit together and probably don’t even need the planner in the first place! In my life, everything has to feel like an iced mocha or a warm chocolate chip cookie. If the vibe isn’t cozy and inviting, my chaotic brain is just going to reject it.

That’s why I decided to break the mold and start designing my own.

I don’t want a spreadsheet on paper. I want these notebooks to feel like a cozy diary, a safe space, and your own personal chaos coordinator. Most importantly, I want a planner that celebrates progress—not one that shames you when low-energy days hit and you throw up your hands, scream “BLAH!” at the universe, wrap yourself in a cozy blanket, and deep-dive straight into your TBR pile instead.

To bring that vibe to life, I take my wild, unfiltered, middle-of-the-night brain dumps to my AI collaborator, who acts like my technical translator. Together, we take my chaotic “what-if” ideas and figure out how to translate those feelings onto the page—leaving room to write outside the lines, track things naturally, and actually breathe.

Right now, I’m test-driving and refining the first batch of templates—fixing the sizing quirks and margins so they feel completely effortless the moment you open them. Because a good notebook shouldn’t make you feel guilty for being human. It should wrap you up, hold the chaos, celebrate your small wins, and make you feel right at home.

Are you a planner hoarder, too? Head over to my latest Instagram post and tell me how many half-used notebooks are resting in peace on your planner graveyard shelf right now! And don’t forget to join the email list to receive all the updates about when the first batch of planners is fresh out of the oven!
